What you drive says a lot about you

With all of the fine cars out there why did we buy a TT?
In my case there were many reasons. First of course was style. I didn't want to drive a bland car that looks like everyone elses. After a year I still appreciate the exterior and interior TT design. It's one beautiful car.
Second, I love the way the TT handles. To me handling is far more important than brute power. I wanted a car that could handle the winding roads I travel each day, and the TT does so effortlessly.
Third, is quality. I believe the build quality of the Audis are superior to its competition. I also own an M3 and I have several friends who own BMWs, and my experience is that the Audi just seems as though it is superior to the BMW in build quality. One of my friends has a 2002 M3 convertible, and I have never heard a car with more squeaks and raddles than his. After one year my TT roadster had one little squeak which I quickly fixed myself.
Fourth is price and value. When I bought my TT, I also took a long and hard look at the Honda S2000. The difference in price between the undiscounted S2000 and my 225HP TT roadster was less than $4K. When you consider that Audi offers free maintenance, loaner cars for service, quattro, and better warranty, the $3800 seemed like a bargin to me.
And last but certainly not least is curb side appeal. I've lost count of how many times people at gas stations, super markets, malls, etc. took time to compliment me on my car. You don't have to be a car fanatic to appreciate the beauty of the TT.

It's definitely a fine looking automobile.
But different folks have different priorities as well.
Looks are definitely a top priority for me, but I need the total package in a sporty car.
And that's so hard to find unless you cross the $50K mark

I wanted an all-wheel drive roadster so I could enjoy the summer and still get home in the winter snow. While there weren't many options, this car is perfect for my needs. Absolutely perfect.

honestly, it's all the rattles and squeaks that have always pissed me off about my tt -- and i know i'm not alone since many others here have complained about similar problems. in contrast, my s4 sounded vault-solid for all three years i owned it. so far, my m3 is rock-solid too, but i should hope so given that there are only 400 miles on the odometer :-)

that have appeared, the most obvious being the lexus sc430. The TT interior is still one of the best in the business, but it is the overall package that makes it so hot. You get 90% of what a boxter s is for half the money. The build quality is not as good as the a4,a6, or a8 because these are made in Germany, where as the TT is assembled in Hungary. That is also true of the bmw z3 and boxsters, they are not as well made as their stablemates becasue they are built in the usa whereas the others are again made in Germany. But in the TT you have a modern classic, like a 365 or 911, that is generally reliable, can be dirven everyday and anywhere, in any weather, handles better than most people can deal with, is economical to run and leaves a smile on your face, and that of the onlooker. How much more do you want? How many women do you know that are drop dead gorgeous, have a 140 iq and can cook up a storm? Nobody's perfect.
