Default Whats the difference between an expensive and cheap exhaust?

I went to a friends exhaust shop and he will charge me 300 for a complete 2.5 exhaust with a nice tip, including DP, MP, mufler, tip.

Whats the difference with the 700 ones?

Default 3", and for $300, your muffler is either at cost.. or a POS... and tips usually cost a decent amount

depending on the style.. Again.. at cost.. might be reasonable.

Default 700 is just an exhaust no DP. I paid appx 300US just for the hardware for my exhaust, plus labour!

And that was catback with no midmuffler, but using high quality magnaflow parts. 300 bucks for what you described and installed is impossible. It took my guy 4 hours just to intall and fab up all the piping. The only way I can see someone quoting you that price is if you have a FWD 180 and they are putting on a cheapo muffler with a single tip and making the pipe out of aluminum without any madrel bends and that is not including the DP. Just the DP installed will probably cost you atleast $500.

I feel more power with this exhaust. Felt some gain with the APR exhaust, but gain more with this one.

http://www.advancedmotorsport.com/site/main.htm</a
