What's the point of being able to open your windows with the blipper...

...I've had the car for nearly 2 weeks and my windows are stressing me out!
One night last week I didn't open the windows while I was driving it (I think!). I locked it with the blipper like normal. When I went to the car in the morning both windows were open half way. I blamed myself by inventing the "I kept my finger on my blipper accidently" thing story.
This happened again 4 days later ("you're getting used to the car, Mikey" sprung to mind).
Then on Wednesday morning I showed a friend the "opening windows with the blipper" thing. Afterwards I pressed on the blipper lock button and the driver side window went up as expected (I was standing on that side of the car). However, when I went to drive off 8 hours later I discovered the passenger side was only half way up. I would have expected both windows to go up in unison, am I asking too much, is it me, or is their a problem with my electrics?
I was also considering getting my dealer to disable the window opening thang, I can't see any point in it, I live in England after all :-(

I can understand reluctance to leave with dealer or be without your TT for the two days...so do that or get coding changed,
