whats the trick to the fuel filter clamps?

I used a needle nose plyers to get them off, basically you have to push in from the top, and then pull off toward the front or rear.
Make sure you have a bucket or pan nearby as the fuel will come out, but not that much.

Some have broken their fuel lines using that approach. It took me a few minutes but I was able to get them off without any tools. If I were going to use pliers, I would use a small vice grip to squeeze the fitting, then wiggle it off by hand.

comming out when i tipped the fuel filter backwards , fuel draining out the inlet. it came out black with little black grains it looked terrible. i tipped it the correct way and it ran relative clean, i be it has never been changed in 90 k now i got my A/C issues, oil leak, and routain maintance don time for the mods.
