I always thought that the 180 had the 6-spoke 16" wheels and the 225 had the 17" 5-spoke wheels, but I'm looking in the Audi 2001 book/brochure and it lists the 180 with 16" 5-spoke and the 225 with 17" 6-spoke wheels. The book says that for both the coupe and roadster. Is that a misprint or did Audi change the configuration?

but my 2000 TTQC came with 5-spoke 17" wheels last September. And the salesman said all 2001 225 models will come with 6-spoke 17" wheels.

You have it backwards. All 225's should come w/ the 5-spoke & all 180's should come w/ the 6-spoke.

There are 3 wheels: 16 in. 5-spoke, 17 in. 6-spoke, and 17 in. polished 5-spoke. This is the usage:



180 coupe(FWD and quattro)and 180 Roadster(FWD) have 5-spoke cast 16's with 205/55-16 tires standard. Optional Premium Package gets 6-spoke cast 17's with 225/45 tires.

All 225's come with 6-spoke cast 17's (same as Premium Pack. 180)as standard. Optional Premium Pack. on 225 gets 5-spoke forged and polished 17's. All 17's get the 225/45 tires, of whatever Audi is currently using.

I'm not sure about European TT's.

Am I correct guys?

last Setpember, another TTer I knew had the 5-spokes wheels on his 180 roadster at no extra cost. This time my friend was notified on all specs long before it arrived, and besides, he liked the 6-spokes wheels better and what else I can say. And of course, I got mine with the 5-spokes wheels last September as well.
