Default When? an how much? Clutch!

I should be signing the paperwork on a Audi Assured 2000 TT on Monday but I wanted to ask about clutch replacement. How long did they last for you, and what was the cost (if not under warranty) to replace it? I'm assuming this won't be covered under the Audi Assured warranty? The car has 69,000 miles and here's the meat of the carfax report.

I'm assuming the 'Transmission Service' on 1/14/2003 was the clutch, which @ 37,000 miles would make 32,000 miles on the current one. I guess it could've also been the 36,000 mile checkup though..?

Thanks!

Brandon

Default What I don't see....>

Is a timing belt relacement which is due any minute (to the tune of $1,000). I's unlikely the clutch was replaced too. Many here are at 90K + on originals......

A timing belt failure could cost you $4K or more...Check that warranty coverage!

Like Schwing said...Timing Belt = #1 right now. Clutch could wait if needed.

I wasn't sure about that either? Any idea what I should ask the deal about regarding the failed emissions? Obviously it passed eventually... Anyone else ever failed emissions test?
