Where can i take a jetta vr6 turbocharged or supercharged, and how many...

Turbo for big hp, supercharger for more torque and limited increases in hp
this is due to the two different philosophy's employed by each application. Turbo can get hi hp and torque through massive boost. Superchargers are limited in the amount of boost you can run. If you want 250 wheel hp - a supercharger is a good move. If you want more - you'll need a turbo.
Twin turbos will put 508hp at the crank. It's not cheap though.

I have had the pleasure of owning a supercharged VR6 motor and my brother in law used ...
to own a turbocharged VR6.
My take? The supercharger that I had was a no fuss, no muss install that gave me 260hp at the crank and I could take it off and return the car to stock in about 2hrs tops. The kit cost around $3600 I think. My kit was made by Zee Engineering out of Switzerland. It featured a centrifugal supercharger that had sealed ceramic bearings so there was no need for oil lines etc

there is also a supercharger available from AMS (Advanced Motorsport Solutions) that is based on a Vortech supercharger. Horsepower is around 300hp for this kit but is pretty labor intensive (7-10 hrs install time)
The turbo is one bad ****, my brother in law had a 1992 GTI with a VR6 conversion that had an EIP turbo system that had around 380hp @ the crank. It was plenty! The install is pretty labor intensive and definitely not as easy to revert to stock as the supercharger that I owned but the power was unbelievable!
Check out EIP systems (beware of the customer service)

If you are really serious, go over on the vortex and ask a few questions in the VR6 forums, and be prepared for a LOT of info and opinions =) Dont say I didn't warn ya
