Default Stg 3 OFE with the South Bend slightly lighter steel single mass flywheel here.

Wouldn't go with anything more than that, this is a nice setup and already a bit of overkill for the moment. Quite driveable, stock pedal effort, strong clutch. It's tough to say that there's any different effort than the stock clutch and flywheel, except that it's a stronger clutch. Remember the throw out bearing. SB makes a different clutch kit for single mass vs. dual mass (stock) flywheels, so be aware of that when ordering. Got mine on a holiday special last year from KMD tuning, so you might look for that and save a bit if you're not in a big hurry. Also did my engine speed sensor while in there, prophylactically. You know, because that's the kind of guy I am, lol. Please have them check the main shaft bearing while the tranny is out. Mine was discovered to be bad AFTER the tranny with its new improved syncros was put back in, resulting in additional labor to pull it all out again and replace the bearing. Not pretty.

Yep, you do know where your Christmas bonus is going. Will be nice and strong when it's all done though.

Cheers..

Rich

Default Southbend K70287FE clutch kit for use with standard flywheel with new slave cyliner

I reused my dual mass flywheel as it only had 5000 miles on it.

I've been happy with it.

Default Thanks, it'll probably be a SB, my mechanic had nothing good to say about Spec

He said every spec clutch he has put in, he has taken out, they aren't very good, go with a South Bend.

Default That is probably what I'll go with, I want it to be as close to stock as possible.

I know I want to stay with a stock flywheel.
