Default i think you are talking about H&R coilovers, not springs>>

pretty much all H&R springs I've seen, yes, even on cars other than the TT, use dead coils. They are TuV approved. But yeah, I'm sure people on the internet know better.

They're crap. Vote to ban!!!!

Jesus.

Default I agree - their lowering springs were never a problem it was the coilover rear spring....

since it had to be shorter with an adjuster. They never seemed to get it right, until the fourth iteration.

So the problem with the rear springs was only with the coilovers, not the lowering springs?

Default the original post is about springs, not coilovers>>

sarcasm is not directed only at you, but all the H&R bashers. H&R has been in the spring business for some time and makes a number of products used in motorsports. Their springs are also TuV approved, which is a much more stringent test than anything we have in the US.

The idea of using dead coils is perfectly valid. It works well and has nothing to do with the issues on the early versions of the H&R coilovers for the TT.

Default You don't know me, but I know you! I know where you live

I even know that you may drive a Audi TT that is silver in color, this maybe a guess but I bet it is!

hahah....

BTW: Good to hear this was on the coil overs, and not the lowering springs. I was getting concerned about my purchase.
