Default Who says the TT can't flex it's muscles on the track!

looking at Euro.Car's S4 shoot out, my TT's times were pretty good. my car was dyno'd on the same dyno as used in the shoot out. and my times were on the same direction and layout as the Challenge. i was running 1:38s all day and these S4s had pro drivers. not tooting my own horn 'cause i have tons to learn about going faster, but who doesn't. looking at the times in the mag, i beat or tied 6 and lost to 4. most of these would wax the hell out of our car in the 1/4. not too bad

Default Even with an idiot driver (like me), TT's do very well on the track ..

Won first in my division at an autoX at the Tire Rack this fall having never autoX'd before.....it was fun! Really shows you what the car is capable of in the turns, and how you can better control/correct it. Naturally the TT is not a dragster, but is really quite at home on a twisty track.

Speaking for the (banned, ever-evil) Kirby : )
who also won first place in his (more modded) division, and another TT'er, who I think won still a third division that day, these cars can be quite a blast at track events. Kurt and I have two Audi beer glasses to prove it!

cheers,

Rich

Default sounds good. and yup i was the one that doubted the TT's ability

on the track. Im talking about stock TT's or even TT's with a minor mods Vs. 100% stock STis or EVO's. Of course compared to most of the cars out there, the TT does do very well, but against the EVO and STi, I dont think the TT can hang. Now your setup is quite a bit different, and you have addressed many of the stock TT's shortcomings, so kudos to you. Good job

Default You're very right, stock it would get it's *** handed to it

i bought it because i thought it had some good potential AND it was very stylish. but stock for stock, it's a decent car but no STI/EVO, etc.

Default that was the last event with the stock brakes and Ferodo 2500s.

at one point, i overdrove the car and brakes and came in with no pedal and smoking brakes. once i mellowed, i went faster and brakes were decent then. can't wait to try the ALCONS!!
