Colonel, you have more guts than I do. I have believed this...
to be blown out of proportion for a long time, but didn't have the guts to post.
People may have a ripped diagphragm in their DV, which is a failure and the Bailey probably is a better part but is it a performance upgrade!? I think not, and no empirical evidence has come forward.
The great thing is that common sense eventually runs wild here, too.

When readers started buying baileys before they even got their car, I felt something wasn't right
and not just a few peoples DV's. It's a good thing, IMO, that this message board represents such a small portion of the TT drivers out there. Because I'd hate to see how bad the hysteria could be if we had a large % reading here. New forum members come along, love their cars and have no problems, but after a few messages they are freaking out over every sound they hear coming from the engine, thinking that damn DV has gone out on them. Good post bogey

Honking stopped once temps dropped below 84 degrees
I haven't been conducting any scientific experiments here in Texas, but since I picked up my car on 7/1/00, there haven't been many days below 90 until recently.
Now that some respectable cold/turbo fronts have moved in, I have driven my car in 50 degree, 60 degree and 70 degree weather with "NO" honking.
I was wondering if anyone else could comment on honking and weather changes.
By the way, I have a 2001 225QC Amulet/Black

Thanks, I was a pre-buyers who was planning on ordering a Bailey same time as the car.
The other problem was that some people are have been reporting warrenty problems recently with Baily and/or Chip.
Now I can put that money into an MP3 player.
