The whole DV/Bailey crap it just that...CRAP.

So business is good?
Nice part, it's awful pretty, service life looks like it will be way longer than OEM and sound of Bailey is certainly more pleasing.
One man's experience: Car performs same with Bailey as b/4 Bailey. The rest is hype when compared to G-Tech and my butt.
For those wondering if a wholesale, catastrophic failure of DVs are happening accross the board I say: use your OWN judgement.

No, I'm quoting from people who have tested it. (more)
It just confirms the point that the Bailey valve is a superior piece of engineering; consistently operating within specs.

Well, I'm not full of cr*p - at least not about my DV :)
My car felt like I was a throttle spaz with the original DV. I came to learn that was boost leaking - same effect as tapping on the gas is the best way I can describe it...
And yes, higher then stock boost really makes a weak DV much worse.
My car now sings (as Cameron says) and there is no breathing sound at all, nor honking or boost loss when I keep a constant pressure on the gas.
That said, I wouldn't have changed it out if it wasn't behaving bad. And I don't think it was just "in my mind" - unless of course my irratic gas guage, insane pass side window and no-heat heated seats are in my mind as well!.

Don't get carried away...
The Bailey is nice, but I don't believe that it is a superior piece of engineering.
It's just a valve, nothing more, nothing less.
A superior piece of engineering wouldn't have a plastic piston inside of it, it would have a metallic piston able to withstand the high temperatures that the turbo generates. A superior piece of engineering would also have a replaceable piston.

Perhaps, I can interest you in a TAS DV?
Fits your descript to a tee, but be sure to install backwards (which is actually forwards) or the o-ring surrounding the piston will let go along with your turbo. 8-]

Take or leave all the rest, I never honked, but the Bailey cured the stutter. And, I haven't ..
reset my ECU yet because I had enough under the hood after I dropped the clamp into the engine and spent an hour fishing it out. Even if the Bailey doesn't restore 'lost power', it was well worth $160 to get the smoothness back.
