Why can't you re-use the stretch bolts with the dogbone mount?

I don't think I got mine tight enough, so I'm going to pop it out and re torque it... I think the rubber stuff inside the subframe didn't get tight enough...
Last time I just got new bolts from the hardware store... but if theres really a reason not to re-use them, I won't... but I don't know what that reason would be.
Hopefully this solves my slop issues.

Sooo, are the bolts I put in there going to strech by default or are these "stretch bolts" made to really stretch.
Again, I'm not a "car guy" I'm learning and what may be very obvious to you, may not be to me. Even giving the fact that they are called "stretch bolts."
Thanks for the help either way. Now I'm wondering if the bolts the VW dealer told me to use are a bad idea. They didn't have the two bolts that screw into the subframe, only the one big one up front...
I'm going to be pissed if that messes something up.

...means that they can go out of spec when you torque them down to the proper lb/ft (e.g. the part can fit improperly OR the bolt or part can fail). I don't know what this actually means with the dogbone mount, but you should probably replace them.

but doesn't return when the torque is released. Retorqueing an already stretched bolt can lead to failure.
