Why did you buy a Audi TT over a Porsche Boxster? I have my reasons. Whats yours?

We went in to the dealer to get a new A4 for my wife, she didn't like the selection.
We walked over to the Porsche dealer to test drive a Boxster. I liked it, but alot of money for a striped out car.
Went back to Audi to try the TT (leary, Golf in party frock)
What a Blast !! 4 hours later I had a TT 225 Roadster.

In Alaska, winter begins in October and lasts well into April. For us, its not just a season on the calendar. When the snow comes its here for the duration.
When properly equipped with great snow tires, like the Dunlop M2's, this car is just plain fun. I'm probably the odd duck in this group. My car sits around alot in the summer as I tend to ride my bike. But when winter comes, I get a big smile on my face and just love to zoom around in the TT. Most of the boxter owners up here have a "winter car". IThey should probably get a bumper sticker to put on it that says "my real car is sitting in the garage" :>

I like the Boxster and could still imagine owning one, but at the time, there were just enough advantages for the TT over the Boxster.
Reasons included:
the Boxster base price might have been $41K, but you couldn't spend less than $50K to get some of the "necessary" options... and you could easily spend more than that. the TT came with a better warranty and seemed like a better deal for the price.
the Boxster interior looked a bit on the cheap side.
plastic rear window?! even the Miata had a glass one by then. (fortunately, Porsche has solved that, finally)
Quattro. I was used to driving a Miata in the winter, so another RWD car wouldn't really scare me, but the idea of Quattro is pretty hard to turn down. not a 'requirement' for me, but definitely a big plus.
looks are subjective, I like the TT coupe better than the roadster; I like the Boxster better from the rear than the front. either one is pretty good, but those TT roll hoops are hard to pass up!
