why does everyone hate the Bose systems so much?

i listen to alot of experimental glitch type idm, so there are alot of beeps and clicks i'm able to pick up on a Bose that i can't seem to pick up on my friends' stereos, that's why i'm pleased with it. With guitar based music it is alright as well.....BUT with heavy beats (e.g. hip hop) i agree that Bose isn't the best choice, but i still think they sound decent at least.

everso,
I know I'm too hard on ye ol' Blose. But I literally put in about 200 hours of research on the home theater last year. N00bs would come in the forum saying, "Bose is the best, right?" and such. That was okay. But then the educated, experienced members would give them accurate, detailed reasons why they should avoid Bose and they would say, "well, then, why do they have such a great reputation?"
And on and on. If Bose products were less expensive, they might be a decent value. But I can relate to those who aren't really picky about the sound system in a sports car. When I was driving that 350Z for the weekend, I was so focused on the throttle and steering that I didn't give a damn about the sound system. I just turned it off!
What I would suggest is that anyone who is thinking of dropping $1,100 or so on the upgraded Bose system in the TT go aftermarket. For less money you can get so much more sound. I realize it's an issue on a lease vehicle. I'm going to lease my TT because I can't argue with the pre-tax advantage (have my own business, so it makes sense for me).
I will still put in a custom system and 1) buy the vehicle off of lease, 2) sell it with custom sound, or 3) take it back to stock. Hey, 36 or 48 months is a long time. I can endure some expense and work both up front and at the end of the lease to make the sound that much better. : )

my TT is leased for similiar reasons as yourself. but the car i bought came with Bose.
either way, i respect your opinion, because you obviously have done your research.
did you order the car yet??? when are you ordering it?
