Reading the stuff at the UK TT forum people discuss their cars in miles. Also the UK shows like top gear and fifth gear measure specs in miles (0-60), etc..

Default Audi TT UK Forum

Been reading up stuff on that forum, lots of good reading. Also funny what they say about the US sometimes. They cant beleive how cheap they sell the TT over here.

Default No we don't!

We use MPH for the measurement of speed on our roads. This is known as the Imperial system and is very similar to US customary units, both of which are derived from the earlier system of English units.

Default Hey! that's true! UK is using the metric more ofthen now. Would the MPH be abandoned one day?

No crystal ball here, but who knows, as the world gets smaller, standarization sounds wise.

I won't even advocate for a global left-size driver model, I give up on that one...

Default I think you really want to be like us!

Your system of measurement is based on an English system that dates back to 1066. :-)
