Why would someone get the Boxster S, when the SLK32 AMG has more hp and costs about the same?

I would buy a Porsche over a Benz any day of the week. If I could afford the S I would have one.

Neither, I would get a TT180q and drop in a VR6TT and still be cheaper & faster.

Default I would imagine that availability is a big factor.
Sounds like the AMG32 is pretty hard to come by because it's a low production model.
