Default Why you don't drive drunk...

Well, last Saturday, a kid I know left a party. Smashed off his ***, he decided to give his friend (also drunk) a ride home. On the way to his house, he was driving 100 miles an hour down a twisty back road in Weston. They hit a patch of dirt and voila... A perfectly nice Audi A4 2.8 Quattro is now...

Yeah, this was once the interior.

But I'm not done, it gets better.

Now they're in the car, and the passenger is fine. He gets out, walks home and GOES TO SLEEP! A guy walking his dog, at 1:30 am, walks by and sees the driver trapped in the car. He pulls him out and literally 3 seconds later the car blew up. The kid is still in the hospital with broken legs, a bunch of other broken bones, chipped teeth, amongst other things (and a severely bruised ego).

DON'T DRIVE DRUNK, it's a great way to destroy your life.

Default Damn, you said it

/rant on
Nothing against S.CT but I really think that is a major problem in that part of the woods. I lost more friends (yes, read: dead), from drinking and driving or drugging and driving in cars they should have never been given access to. Great kids from affluent families who had it all, losing it all. Controlled substances on those little roads is a deadly combination. Heck, when I lived in Redding, it was all I could do to drive some of those roads in the winter stone cold sober.
/rant off *sorry*

Stay safe, Jamie.
