How wide are you wheels? 235/40/18 is on my car all around on 18x8.5" et 32 wheels.

Default you should match tire width with your horsepower. If you are stock, stick with 225. If Chipped, 255

Ok I'm kidding - otherwise a lot of my cars will need 100 width tires

But seriously, 245/40 is a bit too tall as an 18. When going 70mph on the speedo, your road speed is almost 73mph.

You should try 245/35 but that limits your tire brand choices to something like Toyo and a few others - although you'll be happy with their performance. Another alternative is fit 255/35's which are about as big as 235/40's but are available by many manufacturers. You'll only be off by 1.5mph @ 70mph but that's not too bad.

Default It depends on the tires, there is a lot of variance from brand to brand...

And the suspension you are lowered with ... and your offset ... and how much you weight ... ;^)

I'm running 235/40-18 without any probs.

Default I am running 245 40R18's on 8.5 with 35 BS and 15mm spacers.>>

Lowered about 1.5". Rubs on the inside without spacers. Rubs with the spacers on the rear wheel well when I push it hard. I was going to raise my suspension soon. Probably about 1/2". You will likely rub your outer fender on compression with those spacers.
