Default Will Bolt-down coilpacks fit on a AWP engine?

I have been trying to find cheap coilpacks and have found some at PepBoys but they are saying that I need the push in's. Then they said that the packs were on back order. I am debating going to the Stealership and getting them. They quote $45 per pack ($180 + tax). Im going to put them on myself so no additional costs. Also is it harmful to the engine to drive with the two packs sticking out? They come out EVERYTIME I start the car and drive it. TIA

Sorry if I am annoying all of you about this. I just want to get it back to normal. I did search on here but didnt really find what I want. Again I am sorry if I am annoying all of you.

Default Make sure your plugs are torqued correctly. iirc 22ftlbs.

Look into www.worldimpex.com for parts.

Default You think the plugs could cause the backing out?

This was happening before I change my plugs but it was happening to coilpack 2 and sometimes 3, just not ast often. Now its packs 1 and 3.

Default Its something I've read more than once or twice before. Worth a shot.

I have never had problems with my coils popping on my AWP and I've put 45k on my car.

Default have you changed the CP's to other cylinders, and what happens? >

do the SAME cp's pop, or does it stay with the cylinders???
Try that. might be a valve cover issue somehow, or else something with the specific cp's. Sorry if you've already posted this and I missed it.

but I will try switching them.

Default not talking about the plugs. change the CP's from one cyl to another. >

that'll tell you if it's the Cyl or the CP. then if it stays with the cyl, check the plugs or the valve cover.

Default Ditto. There are a variety of different valve covers however >

not all the same size CP opening apparently, and it is not impossible that's the problem.

Default Ok I just switched them and test drove. Here is result.

I switched 1 and 2 then 3 and 4. As I switched I looking in the Packs and all but the original #4 pack were black/gases looking on the inside. Original #4 was brass looking. After the drive I looked under the hood and the #2 pack was sticking out. I couldnt tell on #4 because it was under the metal but it wasnt sticking against the metal piece. Does this mean its the packs or what? Thanks for your help GorTT.
