Default will hitting the rev-limiter trigger a code?

...and more to the point, if this event were to hypothetically happen would this be an "issue" regarding my warranty when i bring my car in for service?

anyone have any personal experience with a dealer trying to void the engine warranty due to this?

thanks in advance for any input.

No, but the highest rpm and mph are stored. Whether this causes warranty problems is probably up to the dealer's interpretation and attitude.

Default i remember reading on this board a while back that that particular message was a joke...

...something the creator of the program put in there to give us all heart attacks.

Default could be but I've seen it too. I think the code is real, the extra text is well...

Default I did go into the dealership with my old TTC and the Service Manager smugly said to me:

"So ... my tech tells me you've really put this car through its paces, huh?"

I told him I didn't know what he was talking about since I'd babied the car since I bought it. There was only one single incident where I slipped into 2nd, instead of 4th, at about 70 and redlined the tach. That was the *only* time it'd happened.

So I'm assuming they can find out more than we would like to think.

Default I've been extraordinarily lucky with the service at the dealership I use. The tech who works on my

car races cars in his off time...he's very down-to-earth and takes time to listen when you talk to him.

Yes, I spoke with Uwe. There is a code that triggers it, he thought the addition would get a laugh.
