Hello, LONG time since have posted new thread !
Decided to get stock 9-spoke RS4 8X18" wheels refinished (am original owner....) In meantime, also decided to get new wheels:
Going with Enkei TS-5, 8.5X18, 5X100, ET45. Planning on using 6mm spacers to get to ET33 of stock wheels. (42DD makes them with built in reducers to go from 73 to 57.1 mm hubs, ie no hub centric rings required.)
Wheel-size.com shows that size of wheel can be mounted with 245/35-18 tires (up from stock 225/40-18....)
So, would appreciate any opinions re whether that set up will fit fine, ie adequate wheel well and suspension clearance, no rubbing during turns, etc. ?
TIA !

Did you end up going with the wheel/tire package? I ordered a set of 18x8.5 -35 wheels. They’re 5x112 so I’m waiting on the 5x100 to 5x112 adapters. I’m nervous the inside of the wheel will rub on the suspension. From what I have calculated, it should be fine. Using this calculator: https://wheelssize.com/wheel-offset/calculator/ It suggests at 15mm up front I’ll be 8mm closer to the front suspension when compared with the stock 17x7 wheels.

I completed the upgrade to 18 x 8.5 VMR 710 wheels. I ended up going with hub adapters that bolt to the stock 5x100 hubs and offer a 5x112 lug pattern. I bought the hub adapters from ECS Tuning. They have a 20mm spacer that pushes the wheels 20mm further out. Without the spacer, I think the wheels would have rubbed on the shock towers. I do need to replace the shocks and struts, which will lower the car as much as 2cm. Hopefully I still don’t rub once that is complete.
