My washer fluid level indicator light came on just recently. I've looked through this forum and from what I've read, the TT uses a special fluid? Is this covered under the maintenance warranty? Should I only use this special fluid and not use the normal stuff? Thanks.

Using I'll add small portion of detergent with tap water, but it can only be used in Summer time or in those area with warm Winter. I never heard that special fluid will be necessary for the maintenance warranty.

I'm not sure, but if wiper BLADES are covered I suspect washer fluid may be as well; the only downside is you actually have to go to your dealer.
The only reason I recommend that as opposed to the standard $.99/gallon blue stuff available everywhere is, as you know, the Audi washer fluid is some pretty potent stuff that actually works...

Did You Know!
In the TT's windscreen washer/headlight washer system, it is recommended that you only use the Audi washer solvent UK part no. D 005 000 10 to prevent premerture clogging of the washer jets. The jets on the TT are of the "fan type" and ordinary windscreen washer solution will cause crystals to form on the very fine jets and block.

that is green and comes in an anti-freeze looking bottle.
You need the high alcohol content so that it evaporates quickly for headlight washer use. I wouldn't use the cheap blue stuff.
My experience is in Florida, so I never need an anti-freeze style washer fluid.
I have been using a combination of the two I mentioned above and the Audi stuff for 1 year and 3 months with no problems. I am charged for the Audi stuff unless it is put in at a scheduled service.
Just another premium to pay for having a high-line car! :|
Good luck,

I agree. I just filled mine with the cheap blue stuff.
It comes out ok, but leaves white bubbles/foam all over the wiper blades.
