Wondering what sensors go into the catalytic converter pipe bung, and into the downpipe bung?
I got a new catalytic converter pipe + downpipe to install from a fellow forum member (used which is perfect since I plan to replace with something different this fall when I go with a larger turbo). My question is there is a bung on the downpipe as well as one on the pipe with the cats installed. What goes in each? Figured while the pipes were off I could also install new sensors possibly (worth while?).
Also if there is a generic sensor that will save some $$$ vs the OEM plug and play units tell me. Figured I would install this all myself- should be fun since those nuts holding the old downpipe on have been there for 106K miles

there is a post-cat sensor yes, but I'm not sure on which part it is. As long at the sensor voltage/
resistance range matches, you should be able to use a generic sender or a cheaper VW one.
You'd need to wire it, but it's just power and the sender wires-NBD.

So basically just 2x O2 sensors- as long as they match voltage wise I can get generic
Do we use 2 wires, or 4? I have seen both. Sensors go for about $80 each generic right, or did I miss a cheap post?
Thanks Jeff! Enjoying the Boxster I hope
