Default wow..i got my audi tt roadster chipped..damn..i love it ..but still i got some questions for u guys.

i've got my 2001 audi tt roadster quartro for about a half yr now,,and i really love it,,especially after chipping the car, seems like i am becoming one of the CAR BUG from now on..lol

but anyway, i am putting a GIAC chip,,it's amazing, the reason why i am putting this is that i've done so many research,,i was in APR vs. GIAC dilemma,,but now i am satisfied with GIAC..

and the thing is,i went to www.giacusa.com and check the output after chippin the car,,it showed 30 hp...and i am just wondering if this is true??

and also,,what good effects and bad effects do the chip have to the car?

i mean,,does the chip just work on the engine? or it might also affect some of other electronic components such as power window, alarm, etc...

i am a newbie here,,so,,my questions might be kind of dumb,,but still i'd like to find some answers from u guys..

yeah, and one more thing,,i've also checked the stock chip,,and it said GIAC ..does that mean the US TT come with GIAC chip? but why the stock GIAC CHIP and the one i am puttin on now makes so much different? *_*

ps: TT RULES...^_^

Default the chip just remaps the engine performance parameters....nothing else.....

do you have a 225 or a 180?...on a 225 its a 40+hp increase....

mm..i guess so,,cuz i trust that guy a lot, since i went to 2 local audi dealership and ask their technicians to recommand me some chips,,both of them (from different shop) told me to find the same guy..

and that guy has his own web..www.torquefactory.com

and it cost $495 for the chip i add
