AP Wire Sevices - New York, April 29 2002
TITLE - WATER RESTRICTION VIOLATIONS
BODY - As the already severe drought conditions in the Northeast United States continue, local and state governments are finding that the lack of water is costing them in other ways. Local police and other agencies have now had to add water use violators to the list of things they look out for. "We are spending an inordinate amount of time acting as water cops, and the some of the more important aspects of police work are being compromised", said Capt. Tom Warston of the NYPD. In fact, this week-end alone reports surfaced of small clusters of massive water-use violations were reported all along the Northeast seaboard, from Maine on down to Virginia. In several areas, the violations were so concentrated and substantial, that measurable drops in local reservoirs and water tables were measured. Many citations were issued, in an attempt to crack down on the violations. In an even more bizzarre twist, almost all of the people cited, it was noted, were Audi TT owners.

ETA should be around 11-11:30 am, BTW, read on McDuff...
Marsha is traveling with her dog, and it occurred to us that Applebee's won't allow her to bring it in, and she cannot leave the dog in the car. So, since we would like Marsha to join us, is there some kind of out-door place (where they wouldn't mind a small dog) we could go, or a pet-friendly restaurant that you know of in the area? Let me know... see ya Wednesday :-)

me--I would like to meet you, Ivan, but I know that the dog complicates things and I don't want to inconvenience everyone..If its easy, that would be great..if not, maybe another time (besides I'll probably need the extra time just to catch up with the rest of the Squad!)
