I have these after swapping out from the Q's (need to update my sig); the Q's are ceramic and really nice, but had tremendous squeal; the 'smart-pads' have some, but tolerable.

http://brakepads.wilwood.com/01-selection/bp10.html</a

I won't say "don't believe them", but >
realize wilwood brakes are track brakes, not street brakes (and need rebuilding every year or so as a result); in the context of track brakes, that statement (low noise/low dust) is true. Give Wilwood a call - they are good to talk to and will be able to make a suggestion.

thanks, I guess all ceramics aren't the same... I have Akebono ceramics
on a sedan and they're dead quiet. I was thinking about PolyMatrix Q's for my TT. I'm glad you shared your experience with them. If I go with Wilwoods, I'll stick with the metalics!

:-) I put up with them for a couple of months >
finally asked Hans and Steve, who both recommended the Ferodos, but Ferodo doesn't mfgr one in bridge-bolt style, so ended up calling Wilwood and got these; pretty happy, and can always swap back for more agressive use;
you're welcome!

Research those Wilwood kits
Most of them aren't recommended for street applications since they don't have dust seals on the pistons. This requires a regular commitment to cleaning and rebuilding them which you may/may not be comfortable doing.
