Default WTB Audi TT but have Tons of Questions

Well i will just start listing them.
1. I have noticed that all 2000 come only in 5 speed is this correct?
2. Is there only two models the 180 fwd or the 225 quattro. Or can there be an 180 quattro and a 225 fwd?
3. Why do some have dual exhaust and some have single?
4. With a chip can the 225 beat an s2000?
5. Where can i get a chip (all the websites)
6. How is insurnce for you guys with tt. (I am only 18 and currently have a 1997 bmw 325is and only pay 150 a month)
7. Does it sound beafy or does it sound like a ricer?

That's about it. Thanks for you help. Sorry for so many Q's.

Default Re: WTB Audi TT but have Tons of Questions

1. Yes. 180s are all 5 speed with the exception of the newer 180s which are automatic. 225s are 6 speed and they were released in 2001

2. There are 180 fwd, 180 quattro, 225 quattro, and the new 3.2l 250 quattro.

3. 180s come stock with single exhaust, 225s with dual. 180 quattros are easily converted to dual.

4. Who cares.

5. Tons of chip manufactures. REVO, GIAC, APR, etc..

6. Sames as my other cars.

7. Sounds great, not ricey at all. New exhaust can make it sound even beefier.

Thanks for the info. I also heard that with a chip it brings the 225 up to 290 torque and 260hp is this true?

APRs chip will give you 263 hp and 267 lb/ft torque on a 225 with 93 octane.

Default re:

1. You'll want the 6
2. You'll want the Quattro
3. answered by 02TTCOUPE
4. Honda should stick to making lawn mowers and generators, and leave the Sportwagen market to ze Germans.
5. see #3
6. If you get zinged for doing $1.50 like I did, then you'll be paying a lot... well, lets just say it depends on your driving record/age.
7. This question offended me.

In comparo: with minor mods (chip included) 225 TT should run a touch faster then stock Z.

Default Yep. Intake, Exhaust, Good Gas, DV, hoses. On a race gas with a race program you should be in low

13's with all above mentioned mods.
