WTB: OEM roof racks for sale, anyone have any?

are there any issues with paint fade?
I like your advice. I guessed that would be the way to go. Now I just have to save some money :-)
I should hit 22k miles this week and I think the car is in very good shape considering where it has been. Like you though, I want it to be in excellent shape regardless of age ;-)
Thanks for the input. I'll ask around about a good paint shops in Houston.
On a forum note, I'm meeting Rahul tonight (if he does not stand me up!). I'm pretty psyched about it since it will be my first time meeting a forumer. I just wish I could have made it to Jason's bash (even though I was not invited) and I really hope I can get out to TT-West. Not looking likely at the moment since I have a wedding to go to in SF on October 27th and 2 trip to the left coast so close together will stretch the budget a lot....hum perhaps the next one? <isn't that what I said after the last one?>

Rahul mentioned that he'd be hooking up with you. I just met him at Jason's -
and I told him to tell you 'hi' from me.
BTW, don't ever feel not invited to any of the forum get togethers. I've found that it's a case of the more the merrier and you should always feel welcome to attend if you're in the neigborhood. Pencil in Washington, DC for July 21, 2002 for ALMS!
(I didn't have any paint fade issues, but I also don't think my paint had had a chance to fade much.)

that date is in my calendar - thanks
it is hard to know sometimes just how well people know each other and I always assumed that there is a core group here that are pretty close. Thanks for making me feel welcome ;-)
I will do my best to show up to one of these things soon. I'm actually toying with the idea of setting something up here in Texas. I went on a drive with the Quattro club and some of the roads are GREAT. Weather is crappy though so it would have to be in Spring sometime since that is when it the climate here is at its best. There also seems to be quite a large number of people in the area. Must try to find the time to put a gathering together...any thoughts on timing? I don't want to have too close to another gathering since I want to maximize the potential number of people attending. I was just thinking that we've had an East Coast bash and now there is one coming up on the West Coast - so, how about TT-Central? I like the name ;-)

I think Peter is setting up Ashville for next spring (May?) so maybe sometime before that ...
whenever the weather would be reasonable. I'll let you know if Michael and I end up down your neck of the woods over the holidays at all.

please do
it would be great to see you both (ok, and I'd love to see MTT's wheels in person and get a ride in the 32!).
March is great in Central Texas (from what I hear). Isn't that too close to May though? Would you guys come?
