Xenon headlight flicker

Anyone else notice a bump-induced filcker of the xenon headlights? Are they "shock mounted" or something? Seems that it's the worst about 15' ahead of the car, right on the white line of the shoulder. A series of small cracks close together in the road surface seem to cause it more than just a single "bump" - any ideas????

It is related to amount of travel of the rear suspension, so I could see bumps (even small ones) causing corrections that are noticeable. Its supposed to be for loading of the car, so you don't end up blinding folks.
If not, then maybe you have a loose mounting or something.

I hadn't thought of that - you're probably right on the money. OBTW - I allways hated oncoming cars with xenon lights - the color kills my eyes - but driving with them - I wouldn't give them up for anything now...

Always a letdown when it's something else.
