They are starting to crack down on rice...a few of the new laws that came into effect this year are -no exhaust tip shall be larger than 3.5 or 4 inches (can't remember which). And cars aren't allowed to have any stickers on the windshield (even if its above the 1SA(sp?) line. There were a few more idiotic laws but I can't remember them now. I didn't see how it could apply to out of state vehicles though.
The kicker is, many cars and trucks come brand new from the dealership with stickers on their windshields and large exhaust tips (ever see the exhaust on a big diesel Dodge Ram truck). Seems pretty stupid to me. Next thing you know, they'll be regulating the number of speakers you can have in your car.

I just meant that they would try to regulate the number of speakers...doesn't seem so far fetched since they regulated the exhaust tip size, regardless of the noise level. They only used to regulate the noise level of the exhaust. I guess it was too expensive to give the cops sound level meters. I don't think they could make the speaker thing stick in court though. Exhaust is part of the emissions on the car, they can regulate the hell out of it and it's legally justifiable. I don't think they can do much about bad taste or overindulgence when it comes to interior mods though.
