Default Yet another fuel sensor question

A couple of times now I've come close to doing a 'Brad' and running out of gas (no offense-- I hope it doesn't happen to you again!)-- or at least the computer said I had less than 15 miles left on the tank. However, when I get to the gas station the most I've ever pumped is 11.5 gallons.

Why am I confuzled? Because the manual says the TTR has a 14.9 gallon tank. Where are my extra three gallons? I've had a fuel tank collapse on me before (1983 VW Jetta) but that was after the car was over 10 years old. This car is much too new to have that happen...

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?<p> -Benn

Check out the link I added to Brad's original post below. Re: Porsche fuel gauge recalls.
