So here's an update on the 2008 Audi TT 2.0 FWD with 43K miles I've been looking at after taking to Audi dealership to inspect prior to purchase:
- The previous owner had been taking car there for regular maintenance and had the back story on car
- It belonged to a 65 year old widowed lady who purchased new and kept up with all required maintenance
- at 10K miles she had a problem with engine and 4 of the pistons were replaced, the technician says it was due to her not driving as aggressively as you should new turbo engines, they said "she was not pushing the car which is recommended in turbo engines to break them in"
- she just had new tires put on
- all required maintenance was done
So now I'm a bit scared about why the pistons were replaced on engine, but it is good to hear that it was an older lady who was not driving car aggressively and kept up on maintenance.
What do you guys think?

Too many good used TTs out there with much better history than to risk a rare lemon. "Not pushing the car" causing the problem is total BS. Possible causes were a rare oil pump failure, more likely she curbed the oil pan and lost all the oil, or a very rare timing chain failure. For all 3, other engine parts had to be effected.

Vegas,
Apparently it was the "piston rings" (I may have the word ring wrong) that were replaced, and the Audi technician who had a lot of experience (and not the dealership I just bought from, but the one I was using for the inspection prior to buying) says that the problem would not have affected the engine or other components.
I called an out of state dealership in Newport Beach, CA to confirm and did not give them the 1st Audi technicians input, and they also said that it was a rare problem, and that if they were replaced it should not happen again, AND he said that having brand new piston rings sort of prevents it from occuring and that faulty piston rings should not have affected other engine components(again, not sure if it's called overs or something else)
