Default Additional Fees

Hi,

I was going through the invoice my dealer had given me on my TT and noticed the following 3 fees (on top of the destination charge, acquisition and registration fees):

1 - Southern California Audi ad assoc.($323.65)
2 - SCADA2 Audi DAA ($219.88)
3 - Preparation and Inspection ($195)

Wondering if these fees are legit and is it common for the dealer to pass these on to the buyer?

Thanks

Default You are going to get varying answers on this. And i think everyone means well....

and I have come to the conclusion that it does vary state to state...so I would key in on the CA members deals....as for Texas...we have NONE of that.

The only think we pay is the sticker price (Car+ TTL+ Destination) thats it...nothing more and my deale will flat out tell you that any one else that charges that (at lest in Texas is full of ****)

Nope those are legit, at least 1 and 3 are. I don't know about 2 we don't have that fee on the east coast. Just a prep and Advertising charge.

If it was on the invoice, it is legit. I've dealer traded cars in from CA before and I've had to pay them.

Default Ad and Prep are ok, not sure about #2

When I bought my car in NorCal, I had to pay 195 for prep plus 300 for advertising. Those two are standard at least in the bay area. I did not pay #2 though--no idea what it is.

Default Re: Thanks - I sounds like 2 of the 3 are reasonable charges.

so I'll give the dealer the benfit of the doubt - he was very helpful and gave me almost a 2k discount over the MSRP.
I was just caught off-guard when he slapped on these fees at the last minute.

Default Number 2 is new and on all invoices now. It is stupid, but real and legit.

the first one is 1% of base invoice (before any options) just to let you know how it is tallied
