Default Absolutely not!

I just turned 41 and have had my 3.2 for almost a year now and wouldn't trade it for anything.

I plan on having a coupe in some form for the rest of my life.

Default Damn, NO!!!

I'm, let's just say, in my 'upper 50's' and have a TTR on order, and a beautiful Porsche 996 C4S. Am I too old for either. When the day comes that I lose interest in car toys, THEN I'll consider myself truly old. I hope never to get there. They'll have to pry these cars "from my cold dead hands...."

Default yeah this guy turned it in for an s2000 lol. ....

most higher end sports cars are aimed at older guys anyway. They are more likely to be able to afford a 911 or a V8 Vantage. TTs aren't in that league but they still aren't a cheap little Miata or a Solstice or something.

Default Age is a state of mind. I'm 50, I've had sporty fast cars since I was 24. My TT 3.2 roadster is

just the latest. My next car will probably be an R8 when my company goes public.

Default It's the perfect car for 50+

If anything, it's us under 50 that should be asking if we're old enough. After all, it's not very practical for those of us in our 30's who have kids. To me it seems like a great "reward car". You've raised your kids and can afford a nice small sports car. A Corvette would be nice but it's like sitting in a piece of tupperware compared to an Audi.

Enjoy the car!

Regards,
John

Default Have had the higher end cars and don't keep them

I have gone through 996's, SL550's, and so forth. I have also had an S2000-not a bad car but tiny inside and punishing.

I hope the TT coups is a keeper, since I almost never keep a car more than 6 months and decided to lease this one. The lease money was so low it made economic sense. The low residual (50%) would be a plus if I decide to bail early.
