Anyone else think Bose speakers are terrible?

I liked the Bose on my 2004 MK1 TTR...there was a subwoofer placed between the seats that gave a nice sound/vibration...the next best thing to getting a massage in the car. Am not particularly impressed with the Bose system in my 2009 MK2 TTR.
