Hi Guys!
I own a 2008 TT 2.0T and I did not get the Audi GPS unit. I will be moving to LA and not familiar with area, so I was thinking of purchasing a Audi GPS unit.
Questions:
1. Should I buy one that is sold for 2011 TT's?
2. Puchase for specific for me car ?
3. Has anyone else done this and had problems with bluetooth?
Look forward to hearing from other TT friends...

I chose to purchase my car without the unit ($2,300 option up here)and then purchased one from Europe for considerably less. I can confirm that the Audi RNSe unit for the MkII TT is plug and play (my car had bluetooth and it also works fine with the GPS headunit). You may need to VAG your car to ensure the dash display is turned on.

Agree with Stevely,
(and would like more details on that unit to see if it fits others models !)
I would think aftermarket would be more economical AND
give you a better chance at getting updated maps that would make the nav useful and not just eye candy as in my 2011 Q5 with AT LEAST 3 year old
maps...

IMO, the RNSe looks best and works well but its true that getting the most up to date maps is a challenge. As well, touchscreen along with other aftermarket bells and whistles are not an option with the OEM unit.
The RNSe unit is available for the A3, TT and up to the B7 cars. Seems there arent any OEM options for the newer MMI cars if not ordered from the factory. Until I hear otherwise, I'll continue to use a Garmin in our Q5.
