Yet.
Been in the lifecycle plan for the second generation TT for nearly two years. I mentioned it way back when, and if the search function worked better you could probably find it fairly quickly.

... My apologies if I came across a bit on the snippy side. It wasn't a result of your posting but rather an old one of mine. I was all but positive I posted something on the TT TDI and then tried to STFA to find it. Unsuccessfully, I might add.
What with Audi planning a major TDI offensive in the U.S. market with plans to bring an A8, A6 and (eventually) two Q7s with turbodiesels, the TT could end up part of the TDI family, but right now that critter looks like it's going to remain on the other side of the Atlantic pond.

No offense taken. I always enjoy reading your posts. Your posts have provided valued insight into Audi. Perhaps, one of these days, GM and Ford will perform similar to the great European and Japanese marques.

Kinda disappointing though...
Now that I know the GTI is going to have the 230hp... makes it less attractive. I know Audi/VW do it to save cost, but in reality the TT is going to face the same problems the first Generation did. The Golf GTI/ JETTA / A3 comparison. I strongly believe that Audi needs to create more difference between there powertrains... at least the 1.8T quattro we got last go around was 225hp... over 40 more hp. than the VW version. Now it looks we are getting all the VW hand me downs for engines... at least that is how it's going to be perceived. Ah the complications of consolidation and parts sharing

If so, the mass-produced GTI should only receive the 200 hp 2.0T then.
Any idea on when the 230 hp 2.0T will be available for the MK2?
Thanks.

As for the anniversary edition... I hope it is... much like they did with the Turbo S New Beetle (180hp)... limited 1 year run (25 year anniversary for the U.S.)
