Brake problem.

I noticed recently that, when stepping on the brake at the stop light, the brake pedal moves closer and closer to the floor (sort of like a deflating sensation). The brakes are holding but it's a strange feeling. Once I start driving and brake again, the pedal's back to normal - unless I keep on the brakes for a few more seconds and then the same thing happens again. So, I'm wondering if I have air in my lines or maybe a leak?

Sounds like air in the lines to me, though I suppose if you were having a catastrophic line failure where the line had developed a stretching bubble this could also happen - definitely something to check out rather than let go, I'd say bring it to the dealer at the moment it's happening and demonstrate.

Anyone have the problem that feels like the brake pedal is sinking while your foot is on it?? (more)
