This car is on my short list but we live 25 miles from a dealer so before I go and fall in love and then get disappointed, can anyone tell me if my dog's crate will fit with the back seat down?

It is 20 inches tall, 22 inches wide and 28 inches long.

For everyone's safety, riding free in the car is not an option as he is an energetic, excitable & distracting Jack Russell who is on the large side for a Jack (21 lbs). I would worry about the seats and worry about him and worry about me hitting someone whilst looking at him acting like a wild man.

Since no one's answered you - I did a quick measurement of my 2013 TTS. Looks like you're OK with length & width but not height. At the front of the cargo area (top of the folded rear seat) it's about 24" - but it tapers off drastically as you go to the rear. At about 28" from the front of the folded seats there's only about 16" of vertical clearance. These figures are only approximate - best bet is to take the cage to the dealer & physically try it. Take the mutt & let him have a say-so.
