Default Can you add factory Bluetooth capability after the car is built?

I failed to order this on my car and would like to have the built-in functionality.

If not, what is the best after market solution?

Default In my experience you can add factory anything to anything.

There is always a mod, there is always a way.

Default Yes, but it's not cheap...

You could get the necessary components from the dealer (module, antenna, and mic), but you still need a custom wiring harness. There are a couple of sources for harnesses, with a completely plug and play kit in the link below. More info can be found on the telematics forum here, or over on the navplus.us forums.

http://store.nsxjr.com/audi-universal-bluetooth-kit.html</a

Default Speaking of which ...

I noticed that voice activation doesn't work on my roadster, whether the top is down, or up with windows up as well. I've read this is a problem with the factory Bluetooth system. Anyone find that the voice activation actually works???

Default Does not work in the convertible

Went to two dealerships because I thought one was not telling me the truth. I spoke to the service manager, and he said no voice control module was in the convert.
Second dealership said they had been in touch with Audi, and there is no voice control in the convertible. I was not pleased...

nsxjr is the best source for this stuff. Custom harnesses for any installation.

Default Makes no sense.

I can see it not working with the top down, but with the top/windows up, why wouldn't they put this feature in?? Anyway to have them retrofit it?

Phil G.,

You can VAG your car to enable Bluetooth Voice Control (i.e., select name, dial, store, store name, etc).

Default Can my dealer do this for me?

They have the equipment, correct? I like the feature - had it in my S4 and miss it in the TTR. What do you think??

If all we're talking about is the set of voice commands that are specific to the phone (bluetooth module) and the bluetooth module hasn't changed, then yes. I'm pretty sure I posted the VAG information somewhere on these forums for enabling the voice command button on a roadster. It worked for me.
