You may want tp get 3-day subscription to the on-line repair manual.
Bentley publishers has a 3-day to 1 year subscription to the on-line repair manuals for most of the Audis. The 3-day is only $30, and gives you access to all the repair and wiring diagrams. The wiring guides are all in PDF format so you can save them to your local computer for later reference.
Also, there are lots of companies that make wiring harness adapters that plug into the stock harness and give you all the connections. Saves cutting and patching.
