Do our cars read mp3 data? Can I burn a **data** CD-R or DVD-R and...
... will it display the track names on the head unit?
Thanks.
I might just test one but thought I'd ask first.

This is so Awesome :)
To be able to cram this many songs, and so well organized with the head unit displaying the track names, and allowing you to navigate to each folder as a playlist (individual album).
Like 200 songs on a single CD! This is great..... yeah I know, welcome to 2003 but this is the first car Ive owned that read and displayed MP3 Data.
I simply went into "Preferences" in iTunes, clicked on the "Advanced" tab, then "Burning" and changed it from "Audio CD" to "Data CD". I saw there was also a stand alone "MP3" option, which I'll assume is the same thing, but I wanted to create sub directories (folders) so I figured "Data" just incase, and it works flawlessly.
Thank you.
I now see myself using the iPod in the car, even less, but its still nice for mass storage that can be changed quickly.
It does make me wonder if there is a way to make the car display iPod track names though? We'll see.
Cheers.
