Specifically, I really want to get some of these:


If I buy the OEM S5 wheels can I put the tires from my OEM '08 TT on them? I am finding conflicting measurement online and want to see if anybody has done precisely this.

These are the ones I have now. Not my car, just a picture I found of the same wheels.

No they would not, the S5 has a low offset wheel where the TT has a high offset wheel. Hartmann Wheels has a nice looking S5 rep though.

I have the 19" Hartman S5 reps on my TT. If you go that route, be careful, the wheel sticks out slightly past the tires.

Or get a wider tire: 245/35R19

As you can see from the picture, I have 235/35/19 tires. Around the lip of the wheel is not where the wheel sticks out past the tires. About a third of tyhe way up the spokes from the lip is where the wheel starts to stick out farther than the tire. It's not very much though, maybe a half inch or so.

Fair enough. I just assumed by your wording (as I think most people would) that the issue was at the edge of the rim. I noted your tire size from the picture and checked a couple of tire websites to confirm that the recommended tire size on a TTS running 19x8.5" wheels was 245/35. (OEM 19x9" wheels are spec'd with 255/35.) Just thought you should know that it was a researched answer, not something I just blurted out.

Not that it really matters since you have explained where it sticks out, but a profile shot of the wheel to see how and where it sticks out would be cool.

P.S. The Hartmann S5 reps look great on your car, BTW! I much prefer their colour over the OEM S5 wheels.

Those are beautiful! I was just wondering if they looked as good as the official OEM wheels and now I can see they do. I'm going to look into them for sure.
