Curious as to where your 3.2 DSG's shift in normal mode [not sport] under full throttle??? Appears that mine shifts around 68-6900 rpms. I have no idea whether this is normal, nor do I know the redline on this engine. I really don't drive all that aggressively, but notice the tach needle into the full red area when passing.

mine does the same thing when i go full throttle from standing
shifts from 1st gear at around 6900 or as soon as i ease up on the gas; scares me so i usually shift earlier with the paddle
i know the manual mentions the DSG handles a full throttle acceleration differently, and i think it is supposed to shift at higher revs.

Thanks for the response....I was beginning to think no one would reply. I seldom reach full shift points , butI notice if I lift early it seems to 'hang' in gear for a moment and try to decide what to shift to next. But I really do like the transmission. Funny how you can find in print the rpms where the 3.2 makes max horsepower...but nowhere can I find the actual rev limit....only can interpolate for tach markings.
I am quite happy with the 3.2 even thought the TTS 2.0 has more torque and hp...I don't intend to mod it and can live w/o a turbo and trade for the smoother all around performance. Had a B5 S4 that I really liked...and was later chipped and I loved the extra HP....but nice not to have to worry about turbo failure, timing belts, or possible carbon/sludge build up with TFSI.
