Default Not true... in states that require front plates, most dealers won't swap.

Some like me... don't run front plates... Luckily my dealer doesn't care

...wait... I thought to swap that plate on the MK2 TT you needed a whole new grille?

Default ....TX Requires Front plates. My dealer easily swapped with no question whatsoever.

When you order a car, you can decide if you want a filler plate or not. Even in the case of dealer invetory, they still order cars with the filler plate...even in a state that requires a front plate....

Dealers that give you this as a reason are full of ****.

Default If that plate comes off... do they make the piece for the euro plates then??

On my B7 S4 that center section comes apart and you can insert a bunch of different pieces (US plate, filler plate, UK plate, German plate)....

The piece I have for my S4 is a two part piece which then covers my german plate so it finishes it off really nice... I wish they had that for the TT... but I'd be satified with just the slot for the euro plate without having to buy a whole new grille...

Default In Oregon it's different (At least the dealers I deal with).

Most dealers require that you sign something that you are liable if you get pulled over. A lot of dealers have gotten heat from law enforcement because of it... #1 excuse from people is that the dealer never installed the bracket for it. I know it's all stupid. Just stating how it is here.

Default From my understanding the Euro plate holder is the grill itself...

The Filler and NA plate holder is a separate panel that's attached with clips on the bottom.

Here you can see the panel removed:

As you can see, there is an indentation where the Euro plate goes. Even hole marks for the plate.
