Extended Warranty on 2008 TT 2.0 Coupe?
I am looking at a 2008 TT with 42K miles on it.
I realize nobody has a crystal ball, and having a warranty is better than not having one, but is 3K for 3 yr/36K miles worth it on this car? Any major issues miles 40K to 80K that come up?
And, where is a good place online to shop for extended warranty, and how much should I look to pay?
Thanks in advance!

I'd wait
Your prior post said you are still under the factory warranty. Buying an extended warranty now would essentially not go into effect until the factory warranty expired, a waste of money. There will be no difference if you buy the warranty now versus at 49K. It might be a little more if you wait for 50K.
If you do not get the warranty from Audi, make sure the shop/delaership you plan to use accepts that warranty. The best, but most expensive, warranty is the total coverage exclusion policy. That is, there is a small list of tiems that are not covered, versus an "inclusion" policy that has a long list of things that are covered and you then find that your particualr item is not on the list.
On average, the extended warranties are not worth their cost - that is how they make money. I bought an extended warranty from Warranty Direct for my first 2001 TT just before the factory warranty expired. They were a good company and there were some minor early production issues that took me to the dealer about every 9-12 months. I broke even in terms of savings versus original warranty cost.
If you wait, you wil get a feel for the car and its reliability so you can decide later if a warranty is a good investment for you, if you need full versus partial (such as drive train only) coverage.
