Given that the warranty is 4/50, and I drive 15K a year, I had intended to look into the extended warranty. My salesman (car is on order) sent me a pamphlet which matches the descriptions on the audiusa site but is offered by Fidelity Warranty services.

It's nice and vague about where service is done and what parts are used...('5000 authorized service centers')

Anybody get this?

Salesmen wrote on the pamphlet:

6/72 - $2290 above 'Gold Plus'
6/72 - 2690 above Platinum

Doesn't seem worth it for an extra 20k miles or so (which for me is a year and a half).

Any comments?

Ok, I called up the audiusa 800 number this morning.

They say that the audi extended warranty _is_ offered through a 3rd party, and that work _is_ done at Audi dealerships.

They also say it can be obtained any time before the warranty on the car expires.
