Default Fuel tank ventilation valve

Hi
has anyone taken their TT to get the recall done?
I just had mine done and the entire car just smells like gasoline. I'm wondering if anyone has the same experience and perhaps how long the smell persists.

Thanks
Jason

Exactly the same experience. Had to leave my garage door open for hours. It did disappear after 24 hours and extended driving. As you know, they remove the fuel tank as part of the process (and empty it). I was as concerned as you, but it did disappear.

I think that's why they ask you to bring the car in with an almost empty tank. Mine was as empty as I'd ever like it to get, and I didn't have any smell issues after mine was done. Maybe they spilled some fuel when they were emptying it?

I had the fuel vent done. Brought the car in with only 1/8 fuel. Got the car back with no fuel smell but the gage does not read full with a full tank. With a full tank gage shows 7/8 full. Anyone else have this occurrence?
