I love it! its a terribly short answer, but I do. If things go as planned, I will get the "s" version in two years or so. I love my car, but life and business are calling and am seriously considering selling my car for some capital in a business plan I have written up. I'm trying to now get responsible with finance unfortunately, but if I was NOT responsible, Id really get a milltek exhaust and a strut brace from Hotchkis. Everyone loves my car and its so comfortable to just sit in and drive. Ive seen a few S5's around town now and that car is truly amazing looking and makes the TT almost look like the ugly younger brother. =( how are things with you? Id still love to get together once I am back into LA one of these days!

... yeah I really dig your TT combo (Ibis/quattro/DSG right?). Was wondering if the engine opened up at all since you got it.
I still might opt for the S5 but am pissed about the crappy gas mileage, even if cost is not really an issue to me. Have till September to make up my mind.
I'm good thanks. In serious delivery mode on my film. Then off to NY and Cannes to pimp it this summer. So I may not be around LA. But gimme a shout if you want when in LA. I can at least show you around my animation studio.
What's your business venture?

business venture is a design firm of some specific products...dont want to give too much away yet as it is young and infant still. if there is one thing I have learned shortly in the world of design, most people are full of **** and I dont want to be one of those persons claiming all this stuff and not have it happen like most I have met. I honestly dont know what, if anything, will come of it, but well see. I am finishing up the business brochure and investment plan in the next coming days hopefully and well go from there. I want to put some of my money in it as well and running lean and selling the TT makes alot of sense right now. Im also teaching at ASU 3 days a week in the College of Design so that has been an amazing experience as well. ON TOP of that I am working for a design firm when not teaching. Cant complain though. Ill send you an email when things get more sorted out.

therefore in US trim, with the 3.2QCoupe at 3218 pounds, the TTS coupe should be 3184 pounds...and all 34 pounds should come off the nose.

Below are the TT DSG model line unladen weights (empty gas tank) according to the UK PDF, translated from kilograms to pounds:
TT 2.0T FWD DSG: 2899 lbs
TT 3.2 quattro DSG: 3285 lbs
TTS 2.0T quattro DSG: 3252 lbs
Unless I got my calculations wrong, the TTS 2.0T quattro weighs 353 pounds more than the TT 2.0T FWD.
Question is, how much of that weight increase is due to Haldex quattro. My uneducated guess is somewhere between 250 and 300 pounds.
To put some perspective on this, the A5 3.2 quattro weighs only 80 pounds more than the 3.2 FWD, and that includes the heavier Tiptronic transmission (over the FWD's Multitronic). This according to the PDF found at Audi.co.uk.
Evidence seems to clearly support the conclusion that Haldex quattro is very heavy, and much more so than Torsen.
Whateva. The TTS still should be a fantastic ride.

... the A5 3.2 quattro weight I quoted was for a manual, not a Tiptronic. Therefore the weight added by Torsen quattro alone on an A5 should be in the range of 100-120 pounds.
